Berlin on the 09th of May 2015. Ten thousands, mostly Russians, assembled at the main memorial and cemetery in the Treptower Park. Patriotism and a very strong nationalist consciousness. Good and peaceful atmosphere all over the place. Here are my images. I wanted to have the portraits  in this „wartime-propaganda-picture-style“ with this very strong and hard light, taken with my digital NIKON. I was thinking about all these glorifying images of „Heros of the Sovjet Union“ from famous russian war and propaganda photographers like Timofej Melnik or Michail Sawin. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any german or english links to these persons in the web or wiki.
