Manchmal kommt man ja nicht so recht weiter, dann muss was anderes her… Meine Faszination für große Bilder (Die Gemäldegalerie in Berlin im Kulturforum ist das beste Museum der Welt!) hat bestimmt meine Wahl der technischen Ausrüstung ziemlich stark beeinflusst. Große Bilder, große Abzüge, große Kamera. Welcher Fotograf wünscht sich nicht, seine Bilder großflächig präsentieren zu können?

Insofern besteht ein Teil meiner Arbeiten aus drei zusammenhängenden hochformatigen Bildern mit der Panoramakamera. Ich wähle – anders als die klassische Triptychon-Darstellung mit drei unterschiedlichen Motiven – nur ein Bild aus. Einigermaßen gut ausgerichtet und belichtet entsteht somit ein ganz neuer visueller Eindruck. Ich mag das. Das Unperfekte an diesen Triptychons ist es vielleicht gerade, was mir gefällt.

Sometimes you need to use some new ways for a good image. The inspiration of the big oil paintings all over shown in the galeries and museums worldwide forced me to try the „triptych-way“. With some experience and good adjustment you will find the right point for the three shots. More or less, of course, its a kind of try and error. I think, it is charming for some motives. This triptych of the funfair is only an unfinished piece, just very badly scanned in b/w. Next time I will do it the way I like it: very reduced colours and overexposed.
